Periods
A period is normally one week. But a period can be shorter if the turn of the month occurs. As a user, you report time for a period and when you have finished all reporting, you must lock the period for your flex to be calculated and to signal that the times you have reported can be invoiced and that salaries can be paid.
Periods must always be locked in sequence. That is, you cannot lock a period unless the previous period is locked. Conversely, if you want to unlock a period to make changes, then you must unlock periods in reverse order and then unlock all periods again.
As an administrator, you can always lock and unlock periods without having to consider sequence.
If you need to change your reported time for periods that may be invoiced or payrolled, we recommend that you contact your administrator who can make the correct changes in Treks and ensure that invoicing or payroll is corrected.
